Meet Jessica Latorre, an ultrasound technologist at Northwell Health Reichert Family Imaging in Huntington. Jessica’s career at Northwell began in 2014 during her clinical rotation as a radiologic technologist intern at Huntington Hospital. As a student, she was always interested in working at Northwell because of our reputation as one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the region. Read how she is always striving to improve her skills and provide the best care possible at Northwell Health.
In June 2014, Jessica secured a per diem role at the same hospital as an ultrasound technologist. She worked with our imaging team at Huntington Hospital for another year before an imaging services job opened at one of our partner sites in Huntington. Jessica was excited about the prospect of continuing to serve her local community and expand her career within Northwell. In June of 2015, she took the next step in her career as a full-time ultrasound technologist at Northwell’s Reichert Family Imaging Center at Huntington.
Jessica looks forward to coming to work each day alongside colleagues who feel like family. Her passion as an ultrasound technologist is driven by caring for patients during some of the most important moments of their lives. “Whether it’s providing answers, offering reassurance, or supporting physicians with high-quality imaging, I know that the work I do makes a meaningful difference every day,” shared Jessica.
As an ultrasound technologist for over 10 years at Northwell, Jessica feels supported by her colleagues, mentors and leadership team. “I am always encouraged to continue learning, expand my skills, and take advantage of opportunities for professional development.” To maintain continued growth and efficiency in her role, Jessica is required to keep her Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits to maintain her license. Northwell’s Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME) is committed to offering quality education to healthcare professionals through a variety of courses. Jessica has been able to leverage this internal resource to access mandatory quarterly tests and educational classes more easily, as there are always new strategies to increase her skills as an ultrasound technologist.
Looking back on her career path, Jessica feels a true sense of accomplishment. “From being a student with aspirations, to working at a leading healthcare organization like Northwell, it has been a rewarding journey,” she concluded. “I’m proud to work at Northwell, where my commitment to provide the best care to our patients is possible.”

At Northwell, our team members are committed to driving our mission of providing the highest-quality care to our patients and the communities we serve.
Devindra is one of those individuals, who began his career with Northwell in 2020 as a patient transporter at Northwell’s Long Island Jewish Medical Center (LIJMC). In this role, Devindra was responsible for the safe and efficient movement of patients throughout the facility. He worked to ensure patient comfort, safety and timeliness, coordinating with his team members to maintain smooth patient flow.
The compassion and due diligence he upheld as a patient transporter led Devindra to his next role in 2023, as a patient transport supervisor at LIJMC. Devindra oversaw the daily operations of the transport team, ensuring patients were transported efficiently and safely. He scheduled and assigned tasks to the transporters, resolved operational issues and challenges and trained new team members, enforcing safety protocols and patient care standards.
While working as a patient transport supervisor, Devindra participated in LIJMC’s mentorship program where he shared his goals and passion for health care with his mentor. Together they outlined his aspirations and discussed potential next steps for his continued growth. Putting that plan into action, Devindra utilized Northwell’s tuition reimbursement program to further his education. He graduated in 2025 with his degree in respiratory therapy and this allowed him the opportunity to apply for an open position within Northwell to secure his current role as a respiratory therapist, since early 2026.
As a respiratory therapist, Devindra now assesses patients’ respiratory status and administers therapies including oxygen, nebulized medications and pulmonary rehabilitation to manage and improve lung function. He responds to respiratory emergencies and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans. Devindra also educates patients and their families on managing conditions and equipment in the hospital, before they are discharged.
Devindra credits Northwell with providing him with the opportunity to further his education in more ways than one. “Northwell not only encouraged my educational aspirations but also provided resources and opportunities for me to apply all I’ve learned in a practical setting,” shared Devindra. “Furthering my education and being able to join the respiratory therapy department [at Northwell] was possible because of hard work and the unwavering support I received from my colleagues and the organization,” said Devindra.
Devindra is passionate about his role and providing compassionate care to patients throughout their health journey. He is grateful to work in an environment where his career has been nurtured. “Northwell’s dedication to employee development truly embodies what it means to have a career well cared for,” said Devindra. “Working here has allowed me to grow professionally and reinforces my commitment to providing exceptional care to our patients.”
