Job Description
Faciliates transplant organ allocation and procurement. Serves as a liaison between all stakeholders throughout transplant process.
Job Responsibility
1.Facilitates transplant organ allocation process.
Serves as point of contact for transplant organ offers from local, regional and national organizations.
Evaluates organ offers for potential match with current transplant candidates.
Documents required clinical information and presents suitable organ offers to transplant team for consideration/placement.
Serves as a liaison between transplant physicians and patients regarding organ offers and transplant logistics. Escalates patient clinical inquiries to clinical team members.
Participates in patient waitlist management. Proactively monitors waitlisted patients’ status and communicates any changes to transplant healthcare team.
2.Oversees transplant organ procurement logistics. Ensures all aspects of transplant organ allocation/procurement are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Engages and organizes procurement/dispatch team.
Partners with donor facility to ensure donor stabilization, organ viability, and timely transfer to recipient.
Coordinates air and/or ground transportation for procurement team and donor/organ within required time frames.
Monitors progress of procurement and makes adjustments, as required. Maintains communication with all transplant stakeholders throughout process.
3.Maintains required documentation according to established policies and procedures. Responsibe for related data reporting and analysis.
4.Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activites to ensure program alignment with regulatory requirements and enhance patient outcomes.
5.Serves as a subject matter expert in transplant organ allocation/procurement. Provides training to transplant support team members.

Job Qualification
Associate’s or Technical Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Bachelor’s preferred.
Current related Clinical License and/or Registration to practice in New York State, preferred.
1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $66,220-$108,180/year
